Holland and Barrett has announced the appointment of Anthony Houghton as new group CEO, effective from the beginning of the company’s new financial year in October 2025.
Houghton has been with the business since September 2018, first serving as group retail and property director, then as COO and most recently as CEO, UK&I.
Additionally, while Houghton will join the Holland and Barrett board, Alex Gourlay will continue to serve as chairman of Holland and Barrett.
The business stated that Houghton’s appointment reflects its focus on stability and strong succession planning with a continued focus on the delivery of the company’s transformation strategy.
