Jo Malone London opens new store at Silverburn

On this episode of Talking Shop I’m joined by Alain Bejjani—former Group CEO of Middle East retail giant Majid Al Futtaim, and author of the definitive new book, NEXT: Leading Through the New Realities. Drawing on his childhood in war-torn Beirut, and his experience steering a $9.5bn dollar retail and lifestyle empire through a global pandemic, Alain brings an unmatched perspective on leadership under pressure. Today, we break down his crisis survival playbook for retailers operating in distress. We discuss why resilience must always outpace efficiency, the four assets a brand must protect at all costs, and how to turn macro-turmoil into a long-term direction that scales.

British fragrance brand Jo Malone London has opened a new store at Silverburn, Glasgow’s retail and leisure destination.

The store offers the full Jo Malone London range, including colognes, bath and body products, home fragrances, and seasonal limited editions. Each fragrance is designed to be worn alone or layered to create a personalised scent.

The opening follows a year of growth at Silverburn, which has recently welcomed several new brands including H beauty, Haribo UK, Pull and Bear, Bershka, and leisure venue King Pins. Additional stores, including Stradivarius and Wingstop UK, are set to open later this year.

David Pierotti, general manager of Silverburn, said: “The arrival of Jo Malone London is another significant addition to our retailer mix. After a strong year for Silverburn, this opening further enhances our position as Scotland’s leading retail destination.”

Lizzie Brady, vice president and general manager of Jo Malone London, added: “Silverburn provides the ideal setting for Jo Malone London, combining contemporary retail with a strong sense of style. We look forward to welcoming Glasgow shoppers to experience the brand’s craftsmanship and fragrance collections.”
