Sweaty Betty has announced it is relocating to an 835 sq ft unit in Victoria Gate, Leeds, today (19 November), ending an 11-year run in Victoria Quarter.
The move forms part of the estate’s efforts to expand its line-up of health and wellness brands. Victoria Leeds, which is owned and operated by Redical, said the new space will feature Sweaty Betty’s updated store design with brighter colours and revised layouts.
Rachel Bradburn, head of leasing at Redical, said: “We are committed to ensuring the most popular health and wellness brands are represented at Victoria Leeds, providing shoppers with options that are aspirational, accessible and affordable.
“We are eagerly anticipating welcoming the brand to its new home in our ultra-modern and sleek Victoria Gate destination and continue what has been a hugely successful partnership in the city.”
Andrea Gray, vice-president of global stores, wholesale and 3P at Sweaty Betty, added: “Leeds remains a vital location for our brand, and we’re delighted to strengthen our partnership with Victoria Leeds as we move into a beautiful new store in Victoria Gate.
“We look forward to inviting our customers to experience our joyful new setting this holiday season.”
The relocation follows a series of recent lettings across the estate, including new arrivals from Finisterre, Omnes and Dinny Hall. Redical said the additions reflect its strategy to bring “exciting and innovative” retailers to the city centre.
