Farfetch has appointed Akshay Navle as a new director following the sale of the company to Coupang.
According to the retailer’s Companies House filing, Navle started his new role on 26 January.
He is currently the COO of money transfer service company ZEPZ. Prior to that, he was chief product officer for UK food delivery company Deliveroo from 2017 to 2021.
He was also one of the co-founders of food delivery service Maple, which later in 2017 was acquired by Deliveroo.
Navle’s appointment comes after a majority of shareholders has been very vocal against the recent sale of Farfetch to South Korean-based Coupang.
Farfetch has declined to comment.
