Evri Group is to recruit 2,500 staff across the UK as rising parcel volumes and recent corporate deals drive expansion at the delivery company.
The new roles come after the group reported a 12% increase in parcel volumes to 425 million in the 26 weeks to 30 August 2025, its strongest half-year performance to date. Evri said the growth followed a £36m investment in infrastructure.
The business has expanded rapidly over the past year after merging with DHL eCommerce UK and acquiring Coll-8 and UK Mail. It said the latest recruitment would support higher demand across its network and ongoing integration work.
Roles will be created across head office corporate functions, couriers, depots and hubs, as well as premium delivery services. Opportunities include finance, IT, graduate and apprenticeship positions at the group’s Leeds-based headquarters, alongside operational roles nationwide.
Evri said courier recruitment would focus on flexible, local delivery work, while depot and hub roles would support increased parcel volumes. DHL eCommerce UK is due to be rebranded as Evri Premium in 2026, with roles linked to higher-value deliveries included in the hiring programme.
The recruitment drive follows the relaunch earlier this year of Evri Plus, a union-backed scheme for self-employed couriers that provides access to benefits including paid holiday, pension contributions and parental leave, while retaining self-employed status.
Martijn de Lange, chief executive, said: “We continue to deliver phenomenal growth at Evri, and none more so than within our hard-working courier network, who are truly the backbone of our business.”
He added: “At a time when many companies are reducing headcount and unemployment is growing, we’re proud to be creating thousands of opportunities and leading the way with initiatives like Evri Plus.”
Evri said couriers earn an average of £20.86 an hour, with delivery windows typically running between 8am and 8pm. Additional benefits include access to wellbeing services, retail discounts and support towards electric vehicle use through its Go Electric scheme.
