On this episode of Talking Shop I am joined by Zipline CEO and co-founder Melissa Wong. We discuss how Melissa’s 10 years’ of frontline experience informed her approach to building a SaaS company, the recurring operational frustrations that most head offices still underestimate, and why she believes technology should be designed with the store associate as the primary user. We also explore current trends in store execution and how retailers can bridge the gap between corporate strategy and the shop floor.

Dune London has announced its return to Newcastle with the opening of a new store on Grainger Street, situated within the Central Arcade building close to Monument.

The new 1400 sqft shop is fitted with Dune London’s premium flagship concept, which has been designed in-house by the brand’s store development team.

The store brings “noble, polished materials and a neutral colour palette to enhance Dune
London’s women’s, men’s, and accessories collections”.

The store’s interiors include marble and polished stainless-steel feature finishes and high sheen white and dove tail grey elements.

In addition, large illuminated light boxes in the store windows and within the store will showcase Dune London’s seasonal creative imagery.

Nigel Darwin, The Dune Group’s CEO, said: “We are thrilled to be opening our new store on Grainger Street and bringing the Dune London brand back to Newcastle – we know our shoes and bags are much loved in the city, and we’re excited to be part of this vibrant community once more.”
