Selfridges has introduced its new loyalty programme, Selfridges Unlocked, which will see that participating customers ‘unlock’ the best product launches, events, news and free shipping.

The loyalty scheme will also give full access with special invites to the retailer’s events, services, and product launches first.

It also includes a charity donation every time the customer shops, and every month, keyholders will have the chance to “win big”, with a prize of a day of Selfridges experiences.

According to the retailer, the programme was inspired by founder Harry Gordon Selfridge, who in 1909 on the store’s opening day, offered keys to the first customers with the wish that they would feel “at home” in Selfridges.

Customers will be able to ‘opt-in’ to receive their Key in the form of a QR code which can be added to the Wallet App to unlock Selfridges in store and online.

A Selfridges spokesperson said: “Selfridges Unlocked has been carefully curated to help customers live brighter, and makes purchases go further, making a meaningful difference to the local community in partnership with Centrepoint.”

The loyalty programme is currently open and customers can sign up for full access to the retailer’s summer line-up, which includes global exclusive product launches, Selfridges first swap shop, first look at Selfridges London Corner Shop residencies, and special curated experiences in partnership with the Manchester International Festival.
