Clarks has announced an expansion of its performance walking footwear range following reported growth across its existing Pace and Solevana product lines.
The company said it is focusing on increased product depth and price accessibility across direct-to-consumer and wholesale channels. This follows the 2025 launch of its first dedicated walking shoe.
The new range includes the Pace Rise trainer, which uses internal foam cushioning designed for walking gait cycles. Meanwhile, the Solevana range starts at £55 and was the company’s best-selling trainer in 2025. It features specialized footbeds and cushioning intended for foot recovery.
Clarks said market data indicates that more than 50% of UK consumers now walk for fitness weekly. Most currently use running shoes rather than walking-specific designs.
Global chief product officer Dawn Porto said: “We continue to invest heavily in proprietary technology development to ensure Clarks remains competitive not only in our classic categories of women’s, men’s and kids, but also in emerging performance-led segments.”
Chief marketing officer Darren Day added: “Our athleisure growth strategy is built on ensuring broad reach across price points and channels, without ever compromising on quality.”
The company confirmed further performance launches are planned throughout 2026. The current ranges are available in stores, online, and through wholesale partners.
