Tapi Carpets and Floors has opened a new store in Bishopbriggs this weekend, occupying the site of a former Carpetright branch.

The launch follows the company’s acquisition of Carpetright in July 2024, when the retailer entered administration. The deal included the takeover of 54 stores across the region.

The new shop, located at Strathkelvin Retail Park, adds to Tapi’s growing portfolio of more than 210 stores across the UK.

Jeevan Karir, chief executive of Tapi, said: “We’re thrilled to be opening our brand-new store in Bishopbriggs, giving local customers the chance to explore our extensive range of carpets, laminate, vinyl, luxury vinyl, and wood flooring.

“From timeless classics to on-trend designs, we’ve got something to suit every style, taste, and budget. Our friendly team is looking forward to welcoming customers through our doors, helping them find the perfect flooring to transform their homes.”

Tapi was founded in 2015 by a group of flooring industry specialists. The company says it is focused on offering clear pricing and personalised in-store service.

Customer reviews on Trustpilot rate Tapi as “excellent”, with more than 86,000 ratings to date.
