Holland and Barrett has revealed a partnership with retail property technology group MRI Software, which will provide the retailer with AI footfall analytics. 

This partnership will mean that the health and wellness retailer will have real-time visibility on store performance metrics across its shops across the UK and Europe. 

So far, Holland and Barrett has rolled out MRI’s AI-powered software in more than 1,000 stores. 

A spokesperson for Holland and Barrett said: “Accurate footfall analytics will help us to understand and optimise store performance in each region and country as we continue to use analytics and technology to enhance our consumers’ experiences in innovative ways.”

Jon Burnett, UK sales director at MRI OnLocation, said: “Our longstanding relationship with Holland and Barrett has truly allowed us to get under the skin of their customer needs and experience.

“We’re delighted to roll out this new AI technology as their footfall analytics partner, providing real-time insights to inform strategic decisions.” 

He added: “This empowers the team at Holland and Barrett to pivot swiftly to market trends and maintain a competitive edge.”
