Holland and Barrett is set to increase its hourly pay by 9% to £12, almost 5% above the National Living Wage, from April.
The retailer’s London-based employees will receive a further increase to £13 an hour.
The new upcoming pay rates will mean that in the past two years alone, H&B has increased store-based employees’ pay by 25%.
Other benefits available include a 25% staff discount, free wellness diagnostics tests, £50 product alliance, flexible holiday allowance and an Employee Assistance Programme. All the employees also receive nationally recognised health and wellbeing qualifications during their time at the retailer, with the possibility of continuing development through its apprenticeship schemes.
Anthony Houghton, CEO H&B UK&I, said: “We’re known for our amazing, knowledgeable colleagues, who help our customers with their wellness needs. We are delighted to once again be offering a substantial pay increase, alongside our strong benefits plan.
“We have exciting plans for the business in the year ahead, and look forward to continuing to provide health and wellness services to customers nationwide for another 150 years.”
