JD has announced it has opened a new store at Leicester’s Fosse Park, which has created over 100 new jobs.

The sports fashion retailer previously occupied a lot in Fosse Park North, but the move sees JD acquire a unit double the size at the retail park’s new ‘West’ development.

According to the retailer, the new location is over 12,000 square feet in size and opened its doors to the public on Saturday 2 April.

JD said it will continue to have “multiple” offerings in Leicester, with the retailer also tenanting a unit in the Highcross shopping centre.

A spokesperson for JD said: “We’re delighted to be expanding our store at Fosse Park. Our bigger location will enable us to provide customers with an even wider range of products from the biggest sportswear brands.”
