Suresite, the card services and risk management company, and Costcutter Supermarkets Group (CSG) have announced a new partnership deal.

The agreement expects retailers to improve Suresite’s terms in their bottom line by gaining access to its processing services and technical expertise.

It highlights the competitiveness of CSG, which has continued to grow since its launch last year in summer, and the Preston-based Suresite with the convenience sector due to its non-integrated standalone terminal solution.

Suresite, which made its first move into retail since 2005, had served as the largest provider to forecourts, processing £2bn card transactions.

David Wright, card services manager at Suresite, said: “We have made the decision to now market our service wider to the general retailer and the Costcutter opportunity represents a fantastic launchpad.

“It is a prominent brand to be associated with and we will be able to offer Costcutter, Mace and Supershop store retailers exceptional rates that will help them to strengthen earnings.”

Mike Hollis, retail director at Costcutter Supermarkets Group, added: “Suresite offered us the promise of great value payment card processing, combined with first class customer service and technical support. This supports our ambition to constantly improve the support we are offering our independent retailers.”
