The Body Shop launches on Uber Eats UK

The Body Shop will join brands including LookFantastic and Boots, as Uber Eats expands its growth in providing on-demand access to beauty supplies.

On this episode of Talking Shop, we're joined by Dan Cate, CEO and Founder of SoldThrough. Dan is a heavyweight retail executive who has spent decades steering the merchandising and digital operations of America’s most iconic retail institutions, from Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdale’s to Century 21 and Lord & Taylor. Today, through his platform SoldThrough, Dan helps international fashion brands cross the Atlantic and crack the notoriously brutal U.S. retail landscape. We break down his journey from the shop floor to the C-suite, the operational indicators that prove a brand is truly ready for international expansion, and how to navigate a fragmented American market without destroying your margins. We also discuss how to balance localised inventory with central efficiency, and the one non-negotiable metric that tells you a product has found genuine market fit.

The Body Shop is now available for UK customers to shop on Uber Eats. The partnership comes as the delivery platform builds on its beauty and wellness accessibility

The Body Shop will join brands including LookFantastic and Boots, as Uber Eats expands its growth in providing on-demand access to beauty supplies. Customers will now be able to shop the brand within minutes, choosing from a range of over 100 items.

The announcement follows Uber Technologies’ most recent major US partnership with Ulta Beauty, adding more than 1500 of the retailer’s stores to the platform. The growing demand is reflective in the UK, as Uber Eats seeks to build more partnerships.

In a LinkedIn post, Katie Hunter, general manager of Uber Grocery and Retail, said: “We’re partnering to bring this high street icon straight to your doorstep within minutes–redefining the beauty and wellness shopping experience.”

She added: “After crunching the numbers for our recent Beauty Week promotion, one thing is clear: people really want their make-up, perfume, skincare and more delivered to the doorstep.”

The collaboration follows The Body Shop’s latest expansion with LookFantastic, as it continues its steady growth following a period of administration. The private equity firm, Aureá group, acquired the brand in 2024 securing the immediate future of over 110 UK stores and 1,300 employees.

The Body Shop has been contacted for comment.
