Quiz Clothing has announced plans to open between five and 10 new UK stores over the next year as part of a renewed retail growth strategy following a company-wide restructuring.

The Glasgow-based fashion retailer said the expansion will build on a new store concept launched at Braehead Shopping Centre in September. The design, featuring white and gold fittings and enhanced digital screens, is being used as a template for future locations.

According to the retailer, it has evolved its retail formula and was seeing results.

As part of this expansion, Quiz will prioritise sites in London and southern England, supported by what it described as “a more flexible capital expenditure and lease model”.

The Braehead store, which spans about 1,800sq ft, reflects the brand’s more “aspirational” direction, combining softer interior design with digital content displays. The format also highlights new product ranges, including coordinated separates, contemporary tailoring and day-to-evening dresses.

Sheraz Ramzan, chief executive of Quiz, said: “Encouraged by a strong uplift in like-for-like retail sales over the summer, we are confident the new strategy is working. The plan is to now expand in the right locations through units that provide the best possible backdrop for our extended product offering.”

It comes as Quiz reported a 20% rise in sales over the summer, attributed to broader sizing options, improved fabrics and closer attention to fit.

The retailer currently operates 40 stores in the UK alongside a network of international franchise and online partners.

The fashion retailer, which is based in Scotland, introduced a streamlining strategy in February that included investment in design, buying and merchandising, alongside changes to its supply base.

As part of the restructure, Quiz hired new staff, launched fresh product categories and partnered with suppliers in closer territories.
