John Lewis appoints new director of merchandising
It comes after John Lewis announced the appointment of Helen Webb OBE as its new chief people officer, joining the partnership on 24 November

John Lewis has appointed Anna Milne as its new director of merchandising, a new role that will be part of John Lewis management board.
Most recently, she has been the merchandising director for the luxury lifestyle brands Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter.
Milne has nearly 20 years of experience in retail, curating exceptional product ranges. She brings extensive knowledge of the fashion industry by having worked in merchandising roles across at fashion brands House of Fraser, ASOS, Jules B and The Outnet.
She will join the partnership on 17 November 2025 and report to chief commercial officer Vikki Kavanagh.
Milne said: “Having grown up in Newcastle with John Lewis as a cornerstone of the high street, this feels like a full circle moment. I am delighted to take on this role within a Partnership that places people and community at its heart while delivering commercial excellence.”
Kavanagh added: “Anna will be a fantastic addition to our team, bringing a wealth of experience to the role, and her leadership will be crucial for ensuring that our shops are fully stocked with a fantastic assortment of inspiring products.”
It comes after John Lewis announced the appointment of Helen Webb OBE as its new chief people officer, joining the partnership on 24 November.
Webb was most recently chief people officer at WHSmith, supporting the business through large scale employee changes, and prior to that was chief people and services officer for the Co-op. Earlier in her career, Webb worked for Sainsbury’s, latterly as central retail director; Marks and Spencer and Aviva.
