Inspiration Commerce Group acquires Trouva

ICG also intends to centralise customer support and vendor management as part of a wider operational overhaul designed to bring stability and growth

Online marketplace Trouva has been acquired by Inspiration Commerce Group (ICG), marking the company’s entry into the curated retail platform sector for an undisclosed sum.

ICG, which owns European lifestyle content platform Stylight and fashion marketplace MyBestBrands, stated that the move was part of a wider strategy to grow its presence in niche marketplaces and support independent retail.

Trouva, which aggregates fashion and home décor items from independent boutiques across Europe, has faced operational uncertainty in recent years, with changes in ownership and delays in payments prompting concern among partners.

ICG said the acquisition would restore confidence in the platform, with immediate plans to improve payment processes and upgrade core systems.

According to ICG, Trouva would now benefit from its “operational capabilities, robust financial infrastructure, and deep industry relationships”, adding this would ensure “reliable payments, consistent platform support, and renewed trust among boutiques and consumers alike”.

Planned initiatives include the launch of a dedicated “boutique success team” to manage payments and invoicing, platform upgrades such as faster checkout and improved search functionality, and a marketing push aimed at both European and North American audiences.

ICG also intends to centralise customer support and vendor management as part of a wider operational overhaul designed to bring stability and growth.

Andrew Ladouceur, founder and chief executive of ICG, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Trouva into ICG. Our track record with brands such as Stylight and MyBestBrands has shown that when you combine a passion for curation with disciplined operational execution, you can unlock tremendous value for both shoppers and boutique partners.

“Trouva embodies the very spirit of discovery that we cherish, and we intend to invest heavily in its platform, vendor relationships, and customer experience. Independent boutiques are the lifeblood of a vibrant retail ecosystem.”

He added: “We understand the challenges these entrepreneurs face – especially around cash flow and operational support. By integrating Trouva into ICG’s proven infrastructure, we will ensure boutiques are paid on time, have direct access to marketing resources, and can focus on curating extraordinary products without distraction.”

ICG acquired Stylight in 2024 and has since delivered double-digit growth for the platform. MyBestBrands has also reached profitability under its ownership.
