Victorian Plumbing has announced that it is “on track” to deliver profit in line with its full-year expectations as sales in Q2 rose.

As a result, the company stated that it expects its half-year sales to have increased 5% after sales growth in January and February.

The company put part of its sales increase down to its successful transition to a new semi-automated distribution centre in December.

Victorian’s gross profit margin also improved in line with the previous financial year as sales of its own brand range continued to grow.

Alongside this, Victorian Plumbing moved the deadline for next-day delivery from 12pm to 3pm providing a better service to its trade customers.

It also launched a free tile sample offering in January, which allows customers to choose as many as three sample tiles via express checkout to be delivered for free.

The company expects its tiles and décor business to grow 30% in its first half, a part of the business which it is looking to expand as a priority.

The company also revealed that its closure of Victoria Plum, the firm it acquired last May, was complete and all the stock had now been transferred.

The group will report its interim results for the six months ending 31 March on 14 May.

The company reported a 4% revenue growth to £295.7m for the year ended 30 September 2024.

The bathroom retailer saw its order volume increase by 10% to over one million orders for the first time and that its adjusted pre-tax profits grew 14% to £23.1m.
