Battersea Power Station saw overall sales increase by 52%, with fashion sales increasing by 33% in December 2023, compared with the prior year.

The news comes as the shopping destination welcomed over 11 million visitors in 2023, which concluded with its busiest month being December as Christmas 2023 saw a 30% year-on-year rise in visitors.

In total, over 11.2 million people visited Battersea Power Station in 2023, driven by the opening of over 40 new shops, bars, restaurants and leisure experiences since October 2022 when the Grade II-listed building opened its doors for the first time.

Simon Murphy, CEO of Battersea Power Station Development Company, said: “The strong footfall over the Christmas period is further testament to the unique and constantly evolving offering at Battersea Power Station, and provides a fitting conclusion to a successful 2023.

“It has been amazing to witness the Battersea Power Station estate transform into a thriving riverside destination which welcomes thousands of visitors a day, and to have seen our shareholder’s vision for this once derelict area become a reality.”
