Morrisons has revealed a set of new home delivery measures as lockdown restrictions return following the government’s announcement earlier this week.

As of today (25 September), customers can sign up for weekly, fortnightly or monthly food boxes, without needing a delivery slot.

Those who opt for the supermarkets’ “subscription service” will receive a 5% discount, and new customers to Morrisons’ food box scheme will receive a further 20% discount on their first shop.

Due to the increasing rate of Covid-19 and new lockdown restrictions, Morrisons says demand for food boxes has risen by 56% in the last week.

Aidan Buckley, Morrisons’ director of Food to Order, said: “Customers use our food box service to get fresh food and cupboard essentials delivered to their doorstep quickly.

“We are making the service simpler and even better value to ensure everyone can get access to affordable food at this difficult time.”
