Primark to double footprint at White Rose Leeds
The opening of this store is the second new concept that Primark has launched in recent months following the opening of its new small-format store in Montijo, Portugal in November

Primark has announced that it is set to double its presence at White Rose Shopping Centre in Leeds from from 26,200sq ft to 55,700sq ft.
The expansion commenced this week (7 April) and is expected to be completed by 2027.
The value retailer follows in the footsteps of JD which decided to triple its space in White Rose last year with a new 15,537 sq. ft store.
It comes after Primark announced that it is set to open its first standalone homewares store in Belfast on 6 March 2025. The 8,700 sq ft one floor store is located in the iconic Fountain House building on Donegall Place in Belfast.
The store will stock essentials like cotton bedding and towels to trend-led soft furnishings, decorative pieces or funky kitchen ceramics. The new store will be Primark’s 10th in Northern Ireland and marks a new lease of life for the Fountain House building.
The opening of this store is the second new concept that Primark has launched in recent months following the opening of its new small-format store in Montijo, Portugal in November.
Pablo Sueiras, head of brand account management at Landsec, said: “Retailers are increasingly investing in bigger, better stores to bring their brands and products to life – with the best, high footfall locations, a platform to support growth and continued investment in retail destinations nationwide. Primark’s expansion at White Rose Shopping Centre is a strong example of this and will give the record number of guests even more of what they want.”
