Carsten Keller, Zalando’s direct-to-consumer vice-president and CEO and founder of the group’s Connected Retail division, has decided to leave the company after eight years.
Keller joined Zalando in 2016 to to build the brand’s marketplace ecosystem.
In 2018, Keller founded Connected Retail for brick-and-mortar stores. With the launch of Connected Retail, Zalando was able to engage more than 7,500 retailers across 13 countries.
Lastly, in 2023, he also founded Zalando’s e-commerce operating system, ZEOS.
In a LinkedIn post, Keller said: “For the past almost eight years Zalando has been my professional home and canvas. Here, I have met so many exceptional people who have created such exceptional stories.
“…And as of December 31, 2023, I felt it was time for something new.”
