Mango welcomes ‘record’ year as sales top €3bn

In 2022, the group closed the year with a record 26.2% year-on-year increase in pre-tax profits to €103.3m (£91.6m)

Mango has welcomed a “record” year of sales in 2023, with expectations that full-year turnover will hit €3bn (£2.6bn), surpassing its current sales record of €2.68bn (£2.3bn).

The news comes as the Spanish fashion group expanded its online sales to 20 new countries in the last 12 months, exceeding 110 markets globally.  

This included the opening of more than 130 stores, including in London’s Westfield Stratford. The Trafford Centre in Manchester and St Patrick Street in Cork.

As of today, Mango has an estimated 2,700 fascias in more than 115 markets worldwide.

In 2024, the business aims to open 500 new stores, with a focus on expanding in the UK, US, Spain, France, Italy, India and Canada.

This December, Mango CEO Toni Ruiz became a shareholder in the business, with 5% of the share capital.

In October, the business shuttered its third-party brands offering on its online platform, two years after introducing it.
