For The Creators to launch new rental subscription service with Zoa Rental

On this episode of Talking Shop I’m joined by Alain Bejjani—former Group CEO of Middle East retail giant Majid Al Futtaim, and author of the definitive new book, NEXT: Leading Through the New Realities. Drawing on his childhood in war-torn Beirut, and his experience steering a $9.5bn dollar retail and lifestyle empire through a global pandemic, Alain brings an unmatched perspective on leadership under pressure. Today, we break down his crisis survival playbook for retailers operating in distress. We discuss why resilience must always outpace efficiency, the four assets a brand must protect at all costs, and how to turn macro-turmoil into a long-term direction that scales.

For The Creators, a fashion rental and resale platform aimed at pregnant women and new mums looking to save money and the planet with their wardrobe curation, has appointed Zoa Rental to power its rental service, featuring its new rental subscription service.

The platform curates an edit of clothing for pregnancy and breastfeeding mums. Brands available to hire include favourites like Whistles and Isabella Oliver, as well as new and independent brands.

Zoa Rental now powers 8 different UK rental services, including French Connection Rental and Rathbones Tailor.

For The Creators founder, Lyndsay Mason, said: “We have seen huge growth with a 350% increase in site users the past twelve months and a 158% increase in sales over the past six months. We need a robust and reliable platform that will scale with us and provide our customers with an intuitive and reliable user journey.

“What we love about Zoa Rental is that it was built by a team who own and operate their own rental platform, Hirestreet. They understand our needs and are ambitious in their development roadmap to make rental as seamless and as mainstream as possible.”

Zoa Rental founder, Isabella West, said: “The rental industry is booming and is forecast to double in size in 2023 alone and renting maternity outfits just makes sense. We love working with brilliant founders, we are excited to support Lyndsey and her team through this next stage of growth.”
