Sainsbury’s has announced the opening of a new local store in Hamilton.
The 2,300 sq. ft store will be open to customers from 7am-11pm Monday through to Sunday, and will sell a range of grocery goods as well as coffee from a self service machine.
Sainsbury’s has said it is committed to supporting the local Hamilton community – with the store’s 20 colleagues aiming to play an “active role” in the local area and support Sainsbury’s nationwide community programmes and charity partners.
Charities in the area that Sainsbury’s has recently supported include Hamilton Local Foodbank, EK Community Foodbank and Clyde, Avon and Nethan Food Bank.
Patrick Dunne, property director at Sainsbury’s, said: “We’re proud to be opening a new convenience store for the Hamilton community and expanding our store estate in Scotland.
“I want to thank our brilliant colleagues for all their hard work in getting the store ready to welcome customers through the doors, who I’m sure will enjoy the quality, value and convenience the store has to offer.”
Ben Hinchliffe, store manager at Sainsbury’s Hamilton Portland Place, added: “The store looks fantastic and our team of colleagues can’t wait to welcome and serve customers, providing them with great quality and value alongside friendly service.”
