M&S has confirmed that kidswear director Alex Dimitriu has stepped down from the role to pursue a new opportunity.
Lingerie director Charlotte Davies has assumed the interim leadership of the kidswear team while M&S finds Dimitriu’s successor. Davies will manage these responsibilities in addition to her existing leadership of the lingerie department.
News regarding a permanent successor for the role will be shared in due course.
Dimitriu joined the business in 2020 as head of buying for menswear, before subsequently moving to lead the kidswear division in 2023.
The departure follows several appointments to the fashion, home and beauty leadership team in January. These included Jag Weatherley as transformation director, Jon Rolls as commercial director, and Paula Bricks as retail director.
An M&S spokesperson said: “With a strong team in place, we’re well positioned to accelerate progress and deliver against our reshaping for growth strategy.”
