Naked Wines appoints Jack Pailing as non-exec chair
The appointment comes as the group continues to execute the New Strategic Plan that it presented at its Strategy Event in March 2025

Naked Wines has announced the appointment of Jack Pailing as non-executive chair of its board, with immediate effect.
Pailing, who has served as the group’s senior independent director since 31 March 2025, has been appointed following the conclusion of a “comprehensive and competitive” recruitment process, led by an external executive search firm.
Naked Wines said he brings a “deep understanding” of Naked Wines’ strategy and operations, as well as significant experience in governance and capital markets. His appointment provides continuity in leadership as the group continues to execute the New Strategic Plan that it presented at its Strategy Event in March 2025.
The board added it would like to express its sincere thanks to Deirdre Runnette, who stepped in as interim chair during the search process and provided exemplary leadership during this transition. Runnette will continue to serve as a non-executive director and return to her role as senior independent director.
Pailing said: “It’s an honour to be selected to serve as chair of Naked Wines, a business I have known well for many years as a shareholder and customer, and more recently as a non-executive director. I look forward to continuing to work hard to create value for all our shareholders, employees and other stakeholders, alongside our CEO, Rodrigo Maza, and my trusted and valued board colleagues.
“I’d also like to add my own thanks to Deirdre, who has done a sterling job as interim chair over the past few months.”
