Dobbies has relaunched its garden centre in Hungerford following refurbishment, marking the third upgrade in the chain’s national investment programme.

The overhaul includes a wider selection of plants and gardening products, with the company working with new and existing suppliers to expand its range. New compost lines and a bespoke aggregates section have been added, along with a small gift area featuring home, spa and fashion items.

The store also now includes a clothing section with Klass and Regatta products, and a larger coffee shop with 88 covers serving toasties and baked potatoes.

Mike Scott, general manager of Dobbies Hungerford, said: “We’re really proud of our refurbished store and can’t wait for customers to see the work that’s been done. Gardening is really popular in Hungerford, so we’ve made the changes with our local garden fans in mind.”

The company relaunched its Brighton site in April, followed by Cadnam in May. Chief executive David Robinson said Hungerford was the third site to complete its upgrade as part of a broader effort to improve store layout, expand ranges and simplify shopping.

Robinson added: “Our refurbishment programme is well underway and it’s great to see our third store now complete. The Hungerford store has really moved on and we’re looking forward to seeing the response from new and loyal customers.”

Dobbies said a fourth store refurbishment is now in progress.
