New West End appoints new communications and campaigns director

On this episode of Talking Shop I’m joined by Alain Bejjani—former Group CEO of Middle East retail giant Majid Al Futtaim, and author of the definitive new book, NEXT: Leading Through the New Realities. Drawing on his childhood in war-torn Beirut, and his experience steering a $9.5bn dollar retail and lifestyle empire through a global pandemic, Alain brings an unmatched perspective on leadership under pressure. Today, we break down his crisis survival playbook for retailers operating in distress. We discuss why resilience must always outpace efficiency, the four assets a brand must protect at all costs, and how to turn macro-turmoil into a long-term direction that scales.

New West End Company, the business partnership representing 600 UK and international retailers, restaurateurs, hoteliers, galleries, and property owners, has announced the appointment of Nathan Parsad-Wyatt as director of communications and campaigns.

In this newly established role, he will report to chief executive Dee Corsi, focusing on strategic communications while spearheading public affairs and consumer marketing initiatives throughout the West End.

Parsad-Wyatt transitioned from his previous role at property communications agency Concilio, where he led property communications, stakeholder engagement, and community consultation for some of the most “high-profile” redevelopment projects across the West End.

He will start the new role from 15 July.

Regarding his appointment, Parsad-Wyatt said: “The West End is experiencing a remarkable period of growth, and I am excited to join such an energetic team at this crucial moment. With the transformation of Oxford Street progressing, significant brand investment, and a robust development pipeline, New West End Company and its members can credibly say they are helping shape the future of the iconic West End.

“I look forward to partnering with all stakeholders to address the challenges ahead and leverage shared opportunities to drive economic growth and ensure a sustainable future for the district.”

Corsi added: “I am delighted to welcome Nathan to our leadership team. His dynamic approach and extensive knowledge of the West End, gained through years of collaboration with our stakeholders, make him an invaluable asset.

“Nathan’s expertise will be instrumental in advancing our priorities and enhancing our communication strategies at this exciting time.”
