South London’s Borough Yards, a 140,000 sq ft regeneration project, has welcomed 12 additional brands that will see the mixed-use district expand its beauty, food, fashion and homeware operators.

The new tenants include Ace and Tate, After School Cookie Club, Amorino, Atis, Bancone, Hagen, Kitchen Provisions, Longboys, Lids, Malin and Goetz, Santa Nata, and Yi Fang Tea.

News of the openings coincides with the development’s next phase that is scheduled for 22 June, where the revived Victorian streets of Stoney Street, Clink Street and Bank End will be connected to create a new pedestrian zone behind Borough Market.

The historic streets have been reactivated alongside disused viaducts, warehouses and industrial buildings which date back to the 19th-Century.

The mixture of UK and international brands will join existing occupiers such as Everyman Cinema, The Office Group, Brother Marcus, and Alain Ducasse, among others.

The development has been delivered by investor and developer, Mark, which has a €10bn (£8.6bn) portfolio across European cities and a strong reputation for delivering some of London’s most successful regeneration projects, including Mayfair’s Burlington Arcade

Lily Lin, UK managing director of Mark, said: “We continue on our path to building one of London’s most popular mixed-use districts. It plays home to a vibrant community of local residents, workers and visitors, enabled in part by the creation of a new pedestrian zone and public space through delicate restoration.

“High-quality retail, food and leisure is complemented by an intense focus on exceptional design. We are well known for our successful execution of defining regeneration projects in landmark locations and Borough Yards is no exception to that rule.”
