Battersea Power Station has welcomed more than five million visitors and over 20 new shops, eateries and leisure venue openings since opening last October.

New openings at the Grade II-listed building include Jigsaw, Under Armour, ME +EM, Kiehl’s, Hackett, IWC, Swatch, Reformation, Pinko, Bimba Y Lola, Theory, The North Face, Penhaligon’s, The Cinema in the Power Station, David Clulow, Oseyo, Leon, Itsu, M&S Food Hall and Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen and Bar.

More openings at the landmark site and Electric Boulevard, a new pedestrianised high street, will take place over the coming months, including LEGO, MALIN+GOETZ, Office Shoes, Bloobloom, A.P.C, NOBULL and Bounce.

Smaller, independent retailers inside the Power Station have also been popular with visitors since the opening, the site said. The Battersea Bookshop has sold over 6,509 children’s books for example, while Curated Makers, which sells homeware, candles, clothing and artwork from over 40 local independent small businesses, will add more London-based creators to its roster. This will include vegan friendly soaps from ‘The Naked Herb Soaps’, hand painted watercolour artworks by Ana Gallego, and jewellery from Kam Creates.

For visitors, Art’otel London Battersea Power Station began welcoming guests from mid-December and on 21 February 2023, the hotel’s rooftop bar and restaurant, JOIA, from Portuguese chef Henrique Sá Pessoa opened.

Meanwhile, the Arcade Food Hall, a 24,000 sq ft dining experience, will be opening with three standalone restaurants, including award-winning Taiwanese restaurant BAO, and cocktail bar.

Further bars and eateries opening at Battersea Power Station include Dishoom, Noci Pasta, and Searcys, who will be opening a permanent bar following a successful pop-up inside the Power Station.

Simon Murphy, CEO at Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC), said: “It has been brilliant to see so many people visiting the new riverside neighbourhood we have created here at Battersea Power Station over the past six months.

“It was the aim of our shareholders to give the much-loved Power Station a new lease of life and to open it up for the public to enjoy. To have welcomed more than five million people down since the landmark opened has been a huge achievement and we look forward to welcoming more visitors throughout 2023 to discover the new stores opening, a greater food and drink offering, as well as lots of unique and family friendly events.”

Sam Cotton, head of Asset Management at Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC), said:  “To have had lots of new brands setting up shop at Battersea Power Station in a challenging retail market, clearly demonstrates the appeal of this project.

“This year is set to see more fantastic openings including some firsts for the UK with Tasha’s on Electric Boulevard, plus the highly anticipated Arcade Food Hall in the Boiler House at the heart of the Power Station, which we’re sure will be hugely popular and will draw foodies from across the capital to enjoy new dining concepts in the most unique and historic of settings.”
