Harrods has appointed Tim Parker as its new chief financial officer for the group.

He joins Harrods following 10 years at Jardin Matheson, where he held a range of senior finance leadership positions across Hong Kong and Malaysia for the diversified Asia-focussed group.

Originally qualifying as an accountant with PwC London, Parker had held numerous roles in banking before joining Jardin Matheson in 2011.

It comes as Harrods aims to bounce back from the pandemic by “expanding its ambitious plans for H Beauty stores across the UK and an increased presence in China and the Middle East”.

Michael Ward, managing director at Harrods, said: “As we continue to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic and look towards the future, it is more important than ever to have the right talent in place to guide us through the next stage of our business strategy. We are delighted to welcome Tim to Harrods.

“I know the business will gain hugely from his leadership and extensive experience in a fast-moving market, and I look forward to working closely with him.”
