JD Group has appointed Dominic Jordan as the new CEO of JD Outdoor as Lee Bagnall steps down from the role.

Jordan joins the group from Hobbycraft, where he held the role of CEO from 2017 to 2024.

Prior to that, he was retail and property director from 2012 to 2017, where he oversaw the opening of 36 Hobbycraft stores, the launch of the group’s app and successful sale of the business in August 2024.

Before that, he was retail operations director at Pets at Home for almost 12 years, where he opened over 200 stores during his tenure.

Bagnall, who is leaving the business, has been CEO of Go Outdoor for seven years.

A JD Group spokesperson said: “We are delighted to welcome Dominic Jordan as the new CEO of JD Outdoor. Dominic’s track record in business transformation, digital strategy and store operations make him an ideal addition to the JD team and a leader for our Outdoor business.

“We also want to thank Lee Bagnall for his significant contributions to JD Outdoor over the last 12 years driving growth and innovation in our Outdoor fascia. Lee will remain with the business to ensure a smooth transition.”
