Miniso has announced the upcoming opening of a new location in Newcastle’s shopping centre Eldon Square.

Located on the Upper Mall opposite John Lewis, Miniso’s new 1,700 sq ft store will showcase the brand’s product ranges including toys, beauty, food and brands such as Sanrio and Disney.

The new store represents a “significant” milestone as it marks Miniso’s 29th store in the UK, highlighting the brand’s expansion across the country.

Miniso will bring a store design that enables visitors to interact and encourages them to “have a sense of discovery” throughout their shopping experience.

Saad Usman, chief operations officer at Miniso, said: “We are incredibly excited to expand our presence in the North East by opening Miniso’s latest store at Eldon Square in Newcastle. This new location marks the second MINISO store in Newcastle, following the successful opening of Miniso Gateshead in 2022.

“Eldon Square has always been a premier shopping destination and we are thrilled to bring more affordable and high-quality products to shoppers across the UK.”

Cormac Hamilton, general manager of Eldon Square team, added: “The new addition of Miniso aligns perfectly with Eldon Square’s strategy of curating an exciting tenant mix that resonates with our diverse customer base. We are very excited to bring such a popular brand to the centre and hope to enhance the shopping experience for the Newcastle community.”
