Gymshark has recently announced the appointment of Carly Natalizia to the newly created role of chief digital officer.

In her new role, she will bring Gymshark’s entire digital customer journey into one place across digital marketing and digital experience. She will be responsible for scrutinising and optimising the digital journey to better serve Gymshark’s audience and ensure digital growth for the brand in the future.

She will report directly to founder and chief executive Ben Francis.

Natalizia joined the retailer almost two years ago, starting as VP of marketing international in June 2022, where she led the marketing team for UK, EMEA and APAC. In January 2023, she was appointed global marketing director, where she became responsible for scaling the brand, growing a customer base and delivering commercial growth.

Before joining Gymshark, Natalizia was chief marketing officer for The Very Group from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, she worked at Virgin Money as marketing director for five years and as head of marketing, cards and spending accounts for four years.

She also has taken up roles as head of customer acquisition at Natwest Group, as head of marketing for Bank of America, and as acquisition marketing manager at MBMA.

Gymshark has been contacted for comment.
