On this episode of Talking Shop I’m joined by Alain Bejjani—former Group CEO of Middle East retail giant Majid Al Futtaim, and author of the definitive new book, NEXT: Leading Through the New Realities. Drawing on his childhood in war-torn Beirut, and his experience steering a $9.5bn dollar retail and lifestyle empire through a global pandemic, Alain brings an unmatched perspective on leadership under pressure. Today, we break down his crisis survival playbook for retailers operating in distress. We discuss why resilience must always outpace efficiency, the four assets a brand must protect at all costs, and how to turn macro-turmoil into a long-term direction that scales.

Vitamin gummy brand Nutrigums has announced the launch of its wide range of gummy vitamins into the national health and beauty retailer, Superdrug.

Nutrigums, a plant-based gummy supplement brand, said it’s on a “mission to become the UK’s go-to for everyday support for a range of wellbeing needs and ailments, helping people to live a happier and healthier lifestyle”.

The company has sold more than half a million units through retailers including Amazon, Asda, Morrisons, and Poundland since launching just two years ago.

Its Essentials range, which has been designed to support the body’s core functions, and includes key nutrients such as B12, Vitamin C and D3, is now available in Superdrug and can be found in selected UK stores. The health supplement range is suitable for vegans, vegetarians, and children.

Alongside their Essential range, Nutrigums is also launching its Bedtime Sleep Range in the health retailer.

Nutrigums is the producer of vitamin gummies, founded in 2020 by Fabian Whittingham and his wife Louise Whittingham.

Fabian Whittingham, co-founder of Nutrigums, said: “We’ve developed a range of fun and convenient supplements that support an array of health needs and target individual areas such as our immunity and digestive systems, hair and skincare and boast energy-boosting properties that are suitable to an array of age groups.

“The gummy form is a rapidly growing trend in the health sector, and we believe one which encourages consumers to remember to take their everyday vitamins – as tablet forms can often feel outdated and like a chore for users.”

He added: “After a successful start to our journey, we are so pleased to be adding yet another wonderful retailer to our network of merchants.

“Our Essential range is ideal for those who lack nutrients in their diet, while our Bedtime range is designed for those who desire a long and relaxing sleep. We are the softer side of nutrition; we believe in great products with great taste at a great price.”
