One Stop brings back festive merchandise to support charities

On the final episode of season three we sit down with Claire Watkin, CEO of The Fine Bedding Company, a fourth-generation business founded in 1912. She shares how the brand has performed in recent years and what its proposition really stands for today. We explore balancing heritage with innovation, building sustainability into products and operations, and the journey to a zero-waste eco-factory in Estonia. Claire also unpacks earning consumer trust, making the investment case, and her advice to the next generation of leaders.

One Stop has launched its Christmas merchandise range for 2025, with proceeds from sales going to Young Lives vs Cancer and Alzheimer’s Society. The items will be available in most stores until 31 December. The convenience retailer said the offer includes keyrings, badges and soft toys, with the money raised shared between the two charities. One Stop has supported community groups since 2012 and says it has raised £14m to date.

This year’s collection again features two themes – one for each charity. Young Lives vs Cancer is supported through Care Bear pin badges, keyrings and soft toys, while Alzheimer’s Society will receive funds from sales of Elf-themed goods.

Items include:

  • Alzheimer’s Society Christmas Elf badge – £1
  • Alzheimer’s Society Christmas Elf keyring – £2.50
  • Alzheimer’s Society Christmas Elf toy – £5
  • Young Lives vs Cancer Christmas Wish Care Bears badge – £1
  • Young Lives vs Cancer Christmas Care Bear keyring – £2.50
  • Young Lives vs Cancer Christmas Wish Care Bears soft toy – £8

The retailer is also raising money for BBC Children in Need by selling two festive biscuits, Jolly Mc Trouble and Gary the Penguin. A two-part BBC Celebrity Apprentice Christmas special will show celebrities including Eddi Kadi, Jake Wood, JB Gill and AJ Odudu taking part in the biscuit creation.

A £1 Christmas activity book from The Fruities and Veggies will also be sold, with proceeds going to FareShare, which supports vulnerable families with food supplies.

One Stop said it will again run its community Christmas hamper scheme after what it described as a successful 2024. Stores will be able to create and donate a hamper to a customer they believe would benefit from support during the festive period.
