Quiz has reported a 6% rise in like-for-like sales after introducing what it described as its largest partywear collection.

The 250-piece womenswear range, launched at the end of October, has given the Scottish-based retailer what it said was a “strong start” to the Christmas trading period.

The range includes 200 clothing options and 50 accessory pieces, with sizes running from petite to UK 22. The retailer said the collection is intended to mix and match, offering customers flexibility to restyle items for repeated wear.

Quiz said early indicators suggest shoppers are favouring longer midi and maxi styles, with mesh, satin and velvet fabrics helping to lift demand. Key colours include black, bottle green, navy and brown. Footwear and accessories have also seen stronger like-for-like sales, led by gold stiletto evening shoes and clutch bags.

Sales data also shows Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield and London are leading early demand, with an average basket value of £60.

Quiz’s chief executive, Sheraz Ramzan, said: “Quiz is renowned for its accessible partywear, and the 2025 Party Collection has had a great response from Quiz consumers. We have experienced a significant sales rise driven by demand for items featuring fashion-forward mesh, satin and velvet styles in black, bottle green and brown colours.

“Notably on footwear and accessories gold has overtaken silver as the metallic of choice, due largely to its ability to pair with the many brown, berry and green tones coming through on dresses.”

Quiz operates from 40 UK stores alongside a network of franchise and online partners in the UK and internationally.
