MAC appoints new senior vice president of global marketing

On this episode of Talking Shop I’m joined by Alain Bejjani—former Group CEO of Middle East retail giant Majid Al Futtaim, and author of the definitive new book, NEXT: Leading Through the New Realities. Drawing on his childhood in war-torn Beirut, and his experience steering a $9.5bn dollar retail and lifestyle empire through a global pandemic, Alain brings an unmatched perspective on leadership under pressure. Today, we break down his crisis survival playbook for retailers operating in distress. We discuss why resilience must always outpace efficiency, the four assets a brand must protect at all costs, and how to turn macro-turmoil into a long-term direction that scales.

MAC Cosmetics has announced the appointment of Emily Bromfield as senior vice president, global marketing

In this role, Bromfield will report directly to Aïda Moudachirou-Rébois, SVP global general manager of the company, overseeing the brand’s global marketing strategies across all categories and channels.

With a career marked by a blend of experience from L’Oréal to entrepreneurial ventures, she brings expertise to the brand. Throughout her tenure as chief marketing officer and managing director at Dr Barbara Sturm, she drove “rapid” growth culminating in the brand’s acquisition in January 2024.

Prior to that, Bromfield was integral to the founding team at Charlotte Tilbury Ltd, where she shaped the brand’s go-to market strategy, brand positions and social media presence.

In her new role at MAC, she will bring her mindset and consumer-first approach to the brand, helping to expand its global presence and appeal across established and emerging markets. She will also serve as a key global partner to all MAC regions and affiliates.

Regarding Bromfield’s appointment, Moudachirou-Rébois said: “We are thrilled to welcome Emily Bromfield to the MAC family, as our senior vice president, global marketing. Emily’s proven track record of building brands and driving breakthrough consumer-led marketing strategies will be invaluable to our team.

“With her extensive experience and innovative mindset, we are confident that together we will achieve remarkable milestones for MAC.”
