Central Co-op has officially opened its doors in Hethersett, creating 15 jobs for those living in the area.
To celebrate the opening, Central Co-op welcomed customers and members into the store for the first time, as well as Norwich foodbank and 10 pupils from years four, five and six at Woodside Primary School, who help cut the ribbon to officially declare the store open, accompanied by their Head Teacher, Mrs Mainwaring.
According to the retailer, energy and sustainability have been a consideration throughout the preparation of Hethersett’s new shop.
As a result, the village store has eco-friendly fridges and solar panels have been installed on the roof, as well as two electric car charging points, which will be installed in the near future.
In addition, the store also provides free bike repair and water refill stations, a car tyre air pump, In-Post lockers, a community notice board, and a food bank collection point inside the shop.
