Arne opens pop-up shop at Liverpool One

Arne opens pop-up shop at Liverpool One

On this episode of Talking Shop I’m joined by Alain Bejjani—former Group CEO of Middle East retail giant Majid Al Futtaim, and author of the definitive new book, NEXT: Leading Through the New Realities. Drawing on his childhood in war-torn Beirut, and his experience steering a $9.5bn dollar retail and lifestyle empire through a global pandemic, Alain brings an unmatched perspective on leadership under pressure. Today, we break down his crisis survival playbook for retailers operating in distress. We discuss why resilience must always outpace efficiency, the four assets a brand must protect at all costs, and how to turn macro-turmoil into a long-term direction that scales.

Arne, the popular online men’s and women’s contemporary clothing and footwear brand, has officially welcomed customers to its second bricks-and-mortar activation at Liverpool One.

Bringing its lucrative online brand to a physical format for the second time, Arne occupied a 3,500 sq ft unit in Liverpool One, from 14 to 15 October, showcasing its high-quality, minimalistic clothing and footwear, alongside exclusive products and limited-edition items.

Drawing in crowds of visitors, the space mirrored the brand’s clean aesthetic with an understated fit-out, complete with simple steel walls, mirrors, and concrete floors. In line with Arne’s first pop-up at Liverpool One, the brand held a VIP event enabling a selection of loyal customers to meet the founders and gain early access to exclusive products.

Rob Deacon, asset management director at Grosvenor, said: “Arne’s return to the destination for its second pop-up has been highly anticipated and further cements our reputation as a hub for pioneering, first-rate retail concepts. We are very pleased to have welcomed back Arne for its latest pop-up which looked right at home alongside Liverpool One’s leading selection of internationally recognised lifestyle brands.”

The announcement follows the news that Goldsmiths’, one of the UK’s leading luxury watch and jewellery retailers, has launched its largest location to date on Liverpool One’s Paradise Street. Part of the Watches of Switzerland Group, the new two-storey 13,000 sq ft store introduces the Goldsmiths Luxury (GS Luxury) concept to the city in a unit double the size of the previous Liverpool One location, marking a considerable investment from the brand.

Reece and Ryan Broadhurst, co-founders of Arne, said: “Our first-ever pop-up at Liverpool One earlier this year was a huge success and we have been eager to come back to the destination ever since. We have an amazingly loyal following in Liverpool which does mean a lot since it is the city closest to where we have always lived, and so we were delighted to see such strong turn-out and enthusiasm for our latest activation.”
