The Lego group has announced the opening of a new store at Trafford Centre, Greater Manchester.

Fans of all ages will have endless opportunities to fully immerse themselves in the world of Lego building, with a series of new experiences such as Lego Pick a Brick Wall and Build a Minifigure Tower.

Amy Pearson, director of EMEA marketing at the Lego group, said: “We’ve been searching for the perfect location to open a second store in Greater Manchester and are thrilled to have found this within Trafford Centre.

“This store will be a top retail destination for product launches and events, while acting as a hub for our tenured Lego community and new builders alike, welcoming them to an exciting journey of discovery with the Lego universe.”

The new 267sqm store will be the brand’s 19th store in the UK and second in the city, offering a range of new jobs within the local community. This follows an extremely successful year for The LEGO Group opening stores in the newly renovated Battersea Power Station and another Irish store in Dublin.

The official opening date and dates for in-store events will be announced soon.

Simon Layton, centre director at Trafford Centre, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be welcoming the Lego Store to Trafford Centre. As a family-friendly retail and leisure destination, we’re confident that guests of all ages will love immersing themselves in this fun and colourful store.”
