On the final episode of season three we sit down with Claire Watkin, CEO of The Fine Bedding Company, a fourth-generation business founded in 1912. She shares how the brand has performed in recent years and what its proposition really stands for today. We explore balancing heritage with innovation, building sustainability into products and operations, and the journey to a zero-waste eco-factory in Estonia. Claire also unpacks earning consumer trust, making the investment case, and her advice to the next generation of leaders.

John Lewis has announced the reopening of its Edinburgh store on 14 May 2021 after the site has undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment.

The shop, which is located within the new St James Quarter, boasts a brand new range of services and experiences. This includes a beauty studio, personal styling services and a “World of Design” which provides home design inspiration and advice, as well as a refreshed Nursery department.

In addition the store will offer a new large electricals department and will feature interactive and colourful play areas.

The shop will also pay tribute to the city of Edinburgh with features such as two life-size model stags, an Edinburgh Gin pop up shop, an interactive Hornby Flying Scotsman model and a Greyfriars Bobby statue.

Barry Blamire, head of branch for John Lewis, Edinburgh, said: “We are so excited to be opening once again and welcoming customers into our refurbished shop. The past year has shown just how much our customers rely on our Partners for that much needed advice and guidance.

“The new look store has been designed as a hub of inspiration, curation, convenience and personal advice. We also want to welcome families and there are lots of fantastic design elements and fun spaces for children to explore safely while their parents browse.”
