Made launches first store in Sheffield

On this episode of Talking Shop I’m joined by Alain Bejjani—former Group CEO of Middle East retail giant Majid Al Futtaim, and author of the definitive new book, NEXT: Leading Through the New Realities. Drawing on his childhood in war-torn Beirut, and his experience steering a $9.5bn dollar retail and lifestyle empire through a global pandemic, Alain brings an unmatched perspective on leadership under pressure. Today, we break down his crisis survival playbook for retailers operating in distress. We discuss why resilience must always outpace efficiency, the four assets a brand must protect at all costs, and how to turn macro-turmoil into a long-term direction that scales.

Next has announced the opening of the first Made store, as it makes a return to the High Street

The new store opened its doors at Vulcan Road in Sheffield on Friday 24 November.

Covering 4,000 sq.ft, the store will offer customers the opportunity to browse a range of design-led furniture and lighting, with plenty of colour in rich velvets, as well as a variance of wood finishes including oak, mango wood and walnut.

Store manager, Lisa Frackleton-Grant, said: “We are really excited to launch the first Made store! The products are stunning, and we can’t wait for all of our customers to browse the collections.”

As well as being able to place orders in store, customers can benefit from next-day delivery and click and collect options, via made.com.

Since launching with Next, availability of Made products have improved and sourcing routes have become more sustainable and ethically compliant, meaning customers can expect efficient delivery.

Head of brand – Made, Hollie Parkinson, said: “At Made, we believe in great design being accessible to all, and we want to inspire customers to make braver home choices. We are thrilled to be launching the store in Sheffield, as it’s a very exciting opportunity to broaden our appeal beyond a traditionally London-centric customer base, which also remains important to us.”
