Asos interim chief people officer, Caroline Ross, is reportedly set to step down from her role after a year at the fashion retailer, according to Drapers

The news comes after the group’s brands director, James Barron, also stepped down last month after 13 years, while menswear product director Stefan Pesticcio is expected to be exiting the etailer at the end of the year. 

Ross joined the online fashion group in May 2022, having previously been the chief people officer at international betting company Flutter Entertainment from 2020 to 2022 and chief human resources officer at Channel 4 from 2018 to 2020. 

It is understood that a search to appoint a new chief people officer is underway, but that nobody as of yet has been shortlisted. 

Earlier this month, Asos reported a 10% year-on-year decline in revenues to £3.54bn for the year ended 3 September. The group also saw a 238.7% rise in operating losses to £248.5m.

Despite the decline, the e-tailer expects to return to revenues growth in the fiscal year 2025, which is expected to culminate on 3 September 2025. 

The current financial year, which began on 4 September 2023, is anticipated to deliver a sales decline of 5% to 15%.
