Boden opens first US store at Avalon in Georgia

British clothing brand Boden has opened its first store in the United States with the launch of a 2,000 sq ft site at Avalon in Alpharetta, Georgia, marking a significant step in the British clothing brand’s US expansion.

The store will carry monthly edits of Boden’s womenswear, beginning with a November collection focused on party pieces, knitwear, tailoring and outerwear. 

The interior features design elements referencing the brand’s history, including illustrations and archive photography, as well as seasonal decorations sourced from UK and local makers.

Founded in 1991, Boden has expanded its digital presence in the US since 2002 and now has 1.7 million active customers worldwide. The brand said the opening would “strengthen relationships with shoppers in a key regional market”.

Katherine Danneberg, chief commercial officer, said: “We’re thrilled to be opening our first US store at Avalon. The American customer has embraced Boden with such warmth and enthusiasm over the years, so it feels like the right moment to bring our brand to life in a physical space. We couldn’t think of a better home than Alpharetta for this exciting new chapter.”
