Moss opens in Caledonia Park

On this episode of Talking Shop I’m joined by Alain Bejjani—former Group CEO of Middle East retail giant Majid Al Futtaim, and author of the definitive new book, NEXT: Leading Through the New Realities. Drawing on his childhood in war-torn Beirut, and his experience steering a $9.5bn dollar retail and lifestyle empire through a global pandemic, Alain brings an unmatched perspective on leadership under pressure. Today, we break down his crisis survival playbook for retailers operating in distress. We discuss why resilience must always outpace efficiency, the four assets a brand must protect at all costs, and how to turn macro-turmoil into a long-term direction that scales.

Menswear brand Moss has opened a new shop at Scotland’s designer outlet village Caledonia Park.

The brand, which recently dropped “Bros” from its branding, has opened a 2,984 sq ft unit at the shopping destination, bringing its full ready-to-wear collection of tailoring and casualwear to the outlet.

An expert team of local in-store stylists will help customers “discover their style”, in addition to the Hire and Custom Made service, where customers will be able to create pieces tailored to their preferences and personal taste in 28 days.

Brian Brick, CEO at Moss, said: “Scotland is a growing market for our business, with Caledonia Park joining our newly opened Edinburgh store we’ve begun a sustained long-term investment north of the border. We’ve leaned into our 173 years of expertise to land our most modern tailoring offer yet, alongside a range of premium casual styles to form a really considered collection.

“We’re not just a suit brand that sells some casualwear or vice versa; Moss has transformed into a competitive menswear destination for both occasions and daily wardrobes, and we’re hugely excited to showcase this to customers across the region.”

Maria Averkina, asset and development manager at Railpen, added: “We have created a fantastic line-up of brands across multiple categories, whether that be womenswear, athleisure, or beauty, and it is great to extend this further and deliver a solid formalwear offer which we’ve identified is important to our customers.

“With the natural change in consumer habits and lifestyles, we’re always looking to adapt and enhance our line-up to reflect that. Moss has solid expertise within the industry, and is a fantastic addition to Caledonia Park.”
