Bargain and variety retailer B&M will be opening a 25,503 sq ft store at Derbion on Friday 26 July.

The arrival follows an announcement that Debrion is investing over £5m in three new concept stores for JD, New Look and Ann Summers, with Ann Summers opening its doors last month.

JD is due to more than double the size of its existing space to 20,175 sq ft in the fourth quarter of this year.

Beth McDonald, MD of Derbion, said: “B&M is synonymous with great value. We’re committed to offering variety to our customers and it’s fantastic to welcome B&M to our broad range of high street names, premium brands and everything in between.

“The arrival of B&M forms part of our wider evolution designed to maximise opportunities for existing brands alongside new retailers. With further new lettings to announce soon, it’s set to be another year of growth for Derbion.”

A spokesperson from B&M added: “We are delighted to be opening our new store in Derby, and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store. Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded groceries for the best possible price including a range of food, drink, and pet food.

“There will also be a fantastic selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts, and plenty more to explore.”

New openings, store upsizes and refurbishments resulted in over £5.2m of investment in Derbion last year, with 13 new retailers opening their doors including global cosmetics brand Rituals and lifestyle store Miniso, alongside a new TAG Heuer Boutique.
