Carhartt appoints vice president of global merchandising

She also worked as a senior merchant at Gap for almost two years

Retail apparel and fashion brand Carhartt has appointed Tara Roemke as vice president of global merchandising.

Roemke has over 20 years of experience in the retail industry and since then has worked in several merchandising roles.

She joins from Ariat International where she worked for 13 years as senior director global management apparel and was later promoted to vice president apparel merchandising.

Prior to that, she worked for four years at Levi Strauss as senior merchant women’s and then director of women’s merchandising.

She also worked as a senior merchant at Gap for almost two years.

In a LinkedIn post, Roemke said: “I’m so excited to be joining the team at Carhartt as vice president Men’s Global Merchandising and CCG. An incredible company, working with amazing people, making best in class products are just a few reasons for my excitement.”
