Crew Clothing’s CEO has reportedly been ousted by the group’s owner, This is Money has reported, with other senior executives reportedly departing behind him.
Sources familiar with the matter said Brigadier Acquisition Company made the decision to oust David Butler earlier this month.
His departure is understood to have been driven by Brigadier boss, Menoshi ‘Michael’ Shina, though a spokesperson said the resignation was made by “mutual agreement”.
A Crew Clothing spokesperson told This is Money: “The directors of Crew Clothing Co Limited announce that David Butler has resigned as chief executive of the business by mutual agreement.”
Since Butler left the business, other senior executives at Crew Clothing have reportedly quit the group.
According to the outlet, the group’s head of trade, Cathy Carrington Birch, is understood to have quit on Tuesday (23 May), while head of technical Kerry Beckwith left the group on Wednesday (24 May).
Brigadier is majority owned by Regiment, which is controlled by Shina.
